It will be the student’s responsibility to keep up with his/her ticket and to present it to Coaches on the first day of tryouts. After a convincing win last week against crosstown rival Fuquay-Varina, the undefeated Mustangs (14-0) face No. 6 seed Greensboro Page in the state 4-AA semi-finals this Friday for the last home game of the season.
The game starts at 7:30 PM, and tickets purchased at the gate will be $8.
The game will also be broadcast live on the Time Warner Cable Sports Channel.
The winner will face the winner of Friday’s East Forsyth vs. Mallard Creek game for the state 4-AA championship on Saturday, Dec. 12, at N.C. State.
Middle Creek finished the regular season undefeated Friday (11-0) for the first time in school history with an impressive 41-9 win over Apex. The team also earned a #1 seed in the 4AA East bracket, and will play Millbrook (5-6), the #16 seed, at Mustang Stadium on Friday night. Come out and support the team!
Athletes from Middle Creek’s past and present were honored side by side Friday for their successful careers and state-championship performances.
The Middle Creek Mustang Athletic Hall of Fame inducted ten new members. The new class included seven athletes, two broadcasters and one booster. In addition, four current student-athletes and one team received state championship rings.
The Hall of Fame class included a record-setting quarterback, a Middle Creek soccer pioneer and several multi-sport athletes.
