The High School Football Rudy Awards celebrate outstanding young athletes, not because of their statistical performance, but because of their ability to inspire teammates, classmates, families and communities. (taken from the Rudy Awards website).  Congratulations to our own inspirational Mustang Rashawn King for being one of the twelve finalists!  You can view the long version video entry on YouTube and then be sure to vote for him.  Fan voting is a component of the selection process so be sure to vote and encourage others to also (voting period is open until January 12, 2012).

• THE MUSTANG FOOTBALL TEAM  FOR BEING TRI-NINE CHAMPIONS AND ADVANCING TO THE 3rd ROUND OF THE STATE PLAYOFFS!  CONGRATS ON ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL SEASON.

• SOFTBALL PLAYER ALLISON GEINER FOR HER ATHLETIC SCHOLARSHIP TO ATTEND UNC-GREENSBORO.

• THE VARSITY CHEERLEADERS FOR WINNING THE NCHSAA INVITATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP FOR THE FIRST TIME IN MCHS HISTORY.
